  • Gather information on needs & challenges
    facing Tokyo residents & businesses
    Apr. ~ May. 2020
    • Tokyo residents and businesses are invited to submit their opinions on any needs and challenges they face when using financial services in their daily life.
    • In consideration of the situation of COVID-19,we call off the gathering opinions from Tokyo residents on any needs and challenges this year.
    • We conduct hearings with businesses in Tokyo to gather opinions on any needs and challenges.
  • Decide on themes Jun. 2020
    • Based on the opinions gathered from Tokyo residents in previous years and businesses in this year, themes to be resolved will be selected.
  • Take applications from companies July. 7th (Tue) ~ Sep. 11st (Fri), 2020
    • Domestic and foreign financial companies submit solutions under selected themes.
  • Initial screening Mid Oct. 2020
    • Judging panel will be set up to select the companies (Japanese companies:around 5、Foreign companies:around 10)proposing the best solutions under each theme.
  • Provide support program Early Nov. ~ Late Dec. 2020
    • Companies selected during the initial screening will be eligible to join support program offering mentoring, business matching opportunities, and a development environment (office space), etc.
    • This program will be conducted online in principle.
  • Final screening Late Dec. 2020 ~ Early Jan. 2021
    • Judging panel will rank the developed financial instruments/services of companies selected in the initial screening.
  • Demo event and award ceremony Early Feb. 2021
    • Winners will present their developed financial instrument/service.
    • Prize money awarded to winners selected in final screening (10M JPY for the 1st place, 5M JPY for the 2nd place, and 3M JPY for the 3rd place).
    • It is under considering conducting online.
