In the original book of The Hobbit, Bolg was the son of Azog the Defiler, succeeding him after his death in the Battle of Azanulbizar in TA 2799 by Dain who became Dain Ironfoot.
Why was Gothmog deformed?
Peter Jackson wanted to show a hideously deformed orc, one that would aptly convey the ugliness of Mordor. The upper left side of Gothmogs body is swollen and pock-marked from a disease of some sort, as described by the design department. His pale, yellow skin may also be a consequence of this illness.
Is BOLG the son of AZOG?
Bolg was an Orc leader of the Misty Mountains in the late Third Age, and the son of Azog.
Why did Sauron call out to Aragorn?
